Trainer is absolutely fantabulous!! I rescued a shepherd mix dog last
May 09. It was a spur of the moment decision to adopt her. I have had
small dogs all my life and never really trained them. So, after walking
out the door with my shepherd mix dog Sienna, I thought OMG...what did i
get myself into. She pulled, lunged at people who would walk by us, and
chased everything that moved. I thought to myself, "what did I get
myself into!!" So, I jumped onto google and started searching for dog
trainers and asked around...and I stumbled across David. I was a bit
skeptical...as I always am about new things/people. However, we found
David to be patient, knowledgeable and just freakin awesome!!! ^_^
It now has been about a year, we have seen so much progress with Sienna's behavior! She walks 100% better and David has taught us how to teach her other behaviors than lunging/barking and chasing little critters when on leash with positive reinforcement training. David really helped me to train Sienna with lure-reward training and shaping. Rather than telling me to "alpha roll" my dog and "put her in her place" type of training. I have received so many compliments from people saying "wow, what a well behaved dog, I wish my dog behaved like yours!" Not only is David awesome, but his wife has accompanied him to Sienna's sessions and she is nothing but awesome too!
I would HIGHLY recommend David Hogan as your future dog trainer or walker! You won't be disappointed! You will reap the amazing rewards of having a well trained pup as I have! ^_^

Another glowing review for David the Dog Walker & Trainer!
We went with David after reading the reviews of several area walkers and comparing pricing. Needless to say, it was a quick decision, especially once I met David and Angela in person. The fact that David has so many wonderful YouTube videos and a great blog made it easy to see him in action and feel comfortable with his methods before ever employing his services (check it out and see for yourself) .
We have a brand new puppy (a very active Weimaraner) and both work so it was obvious we would need some help, which is why we enrolled in the AWESOME "Puppy Program". We couldn't be happier - and feel this is money well spent! For the price of an average 15-30 minute dog walk elsewhere, we are getting a 30 minute training session/walk! It is worth every penny for the peace of mind while we are at work and the ability to develop positive puppy behaviors early on.
David is highly professional and communicates with us on a regular basis. His training methods are positive and we embrace his training tips wholeheartedly. I feel as if we are learning right along with our puppy, Mr. Eko. The speed at which our puppy has learned important manners and skills is amazing! David is also integrating socialization by taking our puppy (once he was fully vaccinated) out to area businesses and introducing him to new people, sights and sounds.
The YouTube videos David has taken with Mr. Eko provide us with a way to consistently employ David's training when we are working with him. David also provides tons of little "extras", treats and helpful training tips/advice. We are new to puppyhood so his help with ideas for setting up our long-term confinement area, choosing engaging puzzle toys, clicker training, alone time training, leash training, mouthing, etc. has been incredible. When we are dealing with a new behavior or issue, I'll reach out and ask for help. David is quick to respond and has sent us links to some incredible online resources. I couldn't be more impressed!

"I walked both of the dogs last night and I can't tell you how much they've changed. I was probably the best walk we've EVER had. I used what you've been using (headcollar) with Chopper and he was AMAZING!
Harley was good, too. She was way more focused on the treats (pretty much the whole time), and Chopper was much more subdued. We worked on "sit," "watch me," and "take it." WOW! What a difference.
Anyway, thanks for the help. We were a happy family before, but we're even happier now that we have some structure in our lives. Simply AWESOME!

"If I stepped out of my condo and took my two Corgi’s (Bernie and Thunder) for a walk, I could make it to Portland in 15 minutes because my dogs would pull me the entire way. Our dog walker recommended David so he came over to our place for a consultation. He started the next day and there was marked improvement. We agreed that David would work with our dogs for a two week period. During those two weeks. David sent us progress reports via email and would often leave literature for us to read. On several occasions without our asking, David made videos of our dogs during their training session. This was not only very personalized service but it was also very helpful to us so that we could model our behavior similar to David’s. Now my same 15 minute walk takes me down to the end of the street since Bernie and Thunder are no longer pulling on the leash. Within two weeks their and our learning grew exponentially with the help of David. It is actually very enjoyable to walk our dogs through the neighborhood and this would not have been possible without the help we received from David. My wife and I give him our highest recommendation."

“She loves her crate now...She hasn't had an accident in it since that first day of training. Before she would cover up the mess with one towel or blanket. I had 4 days off so I worked on the crate issue, getting her to like it. We were very patient with her when crating her. Now she goes in with ease. She has done minor things like start to chew on non-dog objects. We are stopping that and giving her the dog toys. We bought her a ton of
options to play/chew on. She has indoor/backyard access while we are home and awake. She's going out on her own now...Pretty much all around awesome.

“One of my favorite activities is walking my two dogs each morning but once I found out I would be having twins as a first time mom, I knew right away we were going to need some help! Our dogs, Barry and Misty are rescue animals and come with some personality quirks who need not just a good dog walker but someone with training and behavioral skills.
